League of Women Voters Candidate Forums

The League of Women Voters joined with the Arizona Wildlife Federation and numerous other groups to sponsor a natural resources forum for Congressional District 1 candidates on June 8th. A video of the forum can be accessed from the Events section of the Arizona Wildlife Federation website at http://www.azwildlife.org.

Now that the election season is almost upon us, the League of Women Voters is sponsoring two days of candidate forums for the primary election to take place on September 2, 2008.

The first forum will take place on Saturday, August 16th, and will provide the public with the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of the candidates for the Arizona State Senate and for the offices of Yavapai County Sheriff and Yavapai County Assessor. The forum will take place from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.

The second forum will take place on Saturday, August 23rd, and will feature the Democratic, Republican, and Independent candidates for the U.S Congressional District 1 seat. Democratic and Independent Candidates will be introduced at the morning session from 10:00 a.m. to noon; the Republican Party candidates will be presented in the afternoon session beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Both events will take place at the Cottonwood Public Safety Building, 199 South Sixth Street.
